30 days…35+ ways to wear a scarf

Standard

As we are getting more into featuring fashion accessories in the store, the NUMBER 1 question when my customers see a scarf to die for at Scentsations…

How do I wear it?

The easy response it, follow me and let me show you.  With that being said, I thought it would be a great thing to feature for the month of March and April.  I will be giving a daily tip with step by step directions on how to tie a scarf.  I am going to feature over 35 ways to wear a scarf over 30 days.  As I add each day, I will add to this post each addition for one quick easy reference.  On day 30, we are going to feature a video showing all the different ways to wear your scarf.

In my opinion, a scarf can make a plain T-shirt look cool, The little black dress pop with a bit of color, provide a little wind protection for your hair on a breezy excursion or make your neck warm when the temperature gets cool.

Today we have the first five quick looks.

Step-by-Step

1. The Pull-Through Knot:

Step 1  Hang the scarf around the back of your neck.

Step 2:  Tie a lose knot one one side.

Step 3:  Pull the other end through the knot.

Step 4:  Slide knot up or down.

2. Loop-and-Knot:

Step 1  Drape the scarf around your neck front to back, pulling ends around to the front, so the scarf is looped once around neck

Step 2 & 3  With the ends, repeat steps in Knot Pull-Through.

3. Turtleneck Scarf:

Step 1  Drape the scarf as you did in the Loop-and-Knot.

Step 2  Tie the ends loosely together

Step 3  Pull up the knot to hide under the section looped around the neck.

4. The Loop:  also called Parisian knot and European look

Step 1  Fold scarf in half.

Step 2  Drape around the back of the neck

Step 3  Pull both ends through the loop formed by the fold.

5. The Bandana Wrap:  Love this one when Richard decides o take the windows out of the jeep or the top off!
Step 1  Fold a square scarf diagonally until one end meets the other, making a large triangle.

Step 2  Placing the scarf on top of your head, bring the middle of the longest side to the middle of the forehead so that the pointed end is towards the back of the head. Hold.

Step 3  Bring the ends to the back and tie them in a single or double knot, whatever is more comfortable for you.

Step 4  Adjust on forehead so that the scarf lies where you want it.
